dosimetry silica fibre plastic fibre scintillating sensor DIAMOND DETECTOR CHAMBER MOSFET BEAMS
To further improve the accuracy of the dosimeter (based on the plastic fibre) of the previous work from our group, a sensor based on silica fibre for clinical in-vivo dosimetry is presented. Results show that silica fibre have good linear relationship (R-2 >= 0.9999) between the output and dose rate, and also exhibits a high optical intensity output, S/N approximate to 3 @300 MU/min (Monitor Unit/min), and S/N approximate to 4.6 @600 MU/min, which shows the potential of silica fibre to be a good candidate for the sensor used in the clinical in-vivo dosimetry.
